The First Step

I know firsthand just how nerve-wracking it can be to take the first step towards change because change can feel overwhelming even when it’s positive. Most of the people I work with know exactly what needs to change. They understand the root of the issue and what they should be doing to move forwards but they still feel stuck. That quiet sense of stuckness is exactly why they come to work with me… and why I love what I do. Helping people move from stuck to empowered is what makes this work so meaningful to me. Change doesn’t have to be exhausting. Taking that first step towards a gentler, more sustainable path can feel incredible - like finally catching your breath after running a marathon you didn’t even realise you were in.

My Mission

I support people with embracing flow over force, gently breaking cycles that have sometimes kept them stuck for years. Whether it’s burnout, anxiety, confidence, phobias, smoking, comfort eating or alcohol, my work focuses on the subconscious mind - where these patterns live, and where real change begins. My goal is to help people realise that the answer isn’t forcing change or trying harder. Sustainable change happens when we stop fighting ourselves and start working with the subconscious mind.

My Style

I don’t prescribe to hustle culture, “beast mode,” or the idea that pushing harder is the answer. I also don’t believe that real change comes from simply talking things through - or from cold, clinical approaches that ignore the human experience. Instead, I offer a warm, bespoke approach to therapy: hypnotherapy grounded in neuroscience. Hypnotherapy works by bringing the conscious and subconscious minds back into harmony. It offers a softer, more intuitive alternative to talking therapy. Change doesn’t have to be forced. It can flow. And when you’re ready, I’m here to guide you.

My Background

Prior to founding Discover Therapy, my background spanned 10 years across Theatre, TV and the Police providing me with unique insights into humanity, psychology and trauma. I studied for 3 years with the Highgate Counselling Centre and Chrysalis, the only UK Hypnotherapy course listed on the Regulated Qualifications Framework (RQF). I have a broad therapeutic background, covering a range of therapy styles: hypnotherapy, psychodynamic, person-centred and CBT.

My Practice

Integrity and trust are paramount to my practice. I’m registered with the Hypnotherapy Directory and the National Hypnotherapy Society which is the only specialist Hypnotherapy register accredited by the Professional Standards Authority. I’m committed to professional excellence, regularly participating with Continuing Professional Development (CPDs), most recently with the Halifax Hypnotherapy Clinic and The Hypnotherapy Academy. To ensure I’m providing the most ethical service possible I receive regular clinical supervision with Lauren Kolb from Fylde Hypnotherapy and mentorship with award-winning hypnotherapist Katie Churms from Songbird Hypnotherapy - rest assured you're in safe hands.
